Hand made terracotta tiles
Hand made production of terracotta tiles follows hundreds of years of traditional techniques. Every single tile is shaped by hand into wooden mold and air dryed in shelves for 6-8 weeks (depending on shape, size and weather conditions). Tiles are fired in ceramic furnace at high temperature. All the final surface treatments are applied individually by hand. As a result, you recieve charming and durable tile, of unique qualities and easy maintenance.
Due to the local material resources and classic colour shades, Tuscan hand made terracotta is commonly used for historical renovations, but works quite well in contemporary projects, residential or public.
Most frequently used formats: 5x28 / 7x28 / 12,5x25 / 14x28 / 15x30 / 18x36 / 10x10 / 15x15 / 19x19 / 25x25 / 30x30 cm (and even larger), hexagons, plinths, staircase elements, etc. Thickness: mostly 1,8 or 2,5 cm.
Traditional terracotta tiles
Representative natural red coloured tiles, with uneven rough surface and grainy texture.
Medieval terracotta tiles
Terracotta tiles quite similar to traditional ones, except for the colour - medieval terracotta has unique sand-like colour shade due to the pre-firing process (tiles are sprinkled with ash).
Velvet terracotta tiles

Polished terracotta tiles
Polished terracotta tiles with subtle glossy finish and grainy texture are quite pleasant to touch.
Medici terracotta tiles
Polished terracotta tiles with distinctive colour shades. Tiles have subtle glossy finish and are quite pleasant to touch.
Antique terracotta tiles
Tiles with bumpy hand-treated surface, but still rather smooth and pleasant finish, with grainy texture and classic shade of red.
Coloured terracotta tiles
Terracotta tiles with treated smooth surface (resembling the Velvet terracotta tiles) in a deep dark colour - grey or brown.
Semi-polished terracotta tiles
This series of terracotta tiles is the best representation of the hand-made production of terracotta tiles in Florence. The polishing proces provides the tiles with aged and weatherworn look and underlines the natural colour variations.
Beautiful terracotta series representing tradition with the classic pinkish colour. A material completely packed by hand, tiles are shaded and thanks to the soft, smooth surface, also extremely easy to maintain. It can be laid with mortar or glue and can be used both inside and outside.
IP-TP series - ochre, grey, brown
This unique series was created to combine the timeless charm of a hand-made product with the new trends in modern architecture and design. The material is packed into special moulds, very smooth, rigorously by hand, in order to create a surface that is soft to the touch and naturally uneven. The various colours are obtained by adding natural oxides to the clay mixture.
When the need for a "material" cannot be separated from "genuine hand-made", but at the same time there are certain low thickness laying requirements, this particular series offers the solution as the "king" of artisanal products in a 16mm version. To satisfy the increasingly frequent and multiple requests for "reclaimed" building items, the research sector has developed, through the application of oxides and inert material on the surface of the cotto, the patina and the look of history. Aesthetics, durability and ease of laying without constraints are the best respond to those who are in search of the authentic "vintage" look for their projects.
